I was drawn to clay in my teens, pursued it in college, and through the passages of my life have always “mucked about” in tactile mediums, from traditional stoneware pottery to abstract handmade paper pieces. Introducing layers of mixed media imagery to conventional surfaces has been my newest exploration.
My world revolves around a land of sea and tropical flora and fauna. I live and work a stone’s throw from the Gulf of Mexico, on Gasparilla Island in the village of Boca Grande. It is a small but thriving community full of history, sport and culture which attracts people from all over the world who are ardent supporters of the arts. It is a place of comfort and great beauty, and forms the foundation of my palette.
